Broken Glass Jell-O

I made this darling Jell-o the other day. Isn’t it fun!

Broken Glass Jello

(Adapted from JustJenn)

4 small boxes (3 oz. each) of Jell-O or store brand “gelatin dessert” in different colors.

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (don’t get evaporated milk)

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (that Knox stuff)

For each flavor, dissolve one box of jello in one cup of boiling water. Pour into a container and chill (overnight is probably best, but I chilled it 3 hours until firm).

After chilling the four flavors, cut them into small blocks.

Carefully mix the blocks in a 9 x 13 pan.

In a separate bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water. After the gelatin blooms, add 1 1/2 cup boiling water and dissolve. Add the can of condensed milk. Stir and cool. Pour cooled milk mixture over jello and chill overnight.

Cut into blocks or shapes and serve!

We made these for Grandma’s Easter party! They turned out so cute.
These honestly take like 10 minutes to make and the kids love them.
They are also very delicious.
All you need is:
1 Cup of butterscotch Chips
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
2 Cups of Chow Mein Noodles
Melt the Butterscotch Chips and the Peanut Butter in the microwave until melted and stir together.
Add in the Chow Mein Noodles and shape into little nests. Add jelly beans once nests have dried.
Enjoy!

MASHED POTATO ICE CREAM ANYONE?

I RECEIVED THIS NEW COOKBOOK FROM MY MOM FOR CHRISTMAS & I AM VERY EXCITED TO START USING IT. I CANNOT GET MY LITTLE BOY CAVIN TO EAT ANYTHING. I HAD THIS BOWL OF MASHED POTATOES ON THE COUNTER AND HE CAME OVER AND THOUGHT IT WAS VANILLA ICE CREAM SO I WENT WITH IT. HE TOOK THE BOWL AND WALKED OVER TO THE TABLE AND SAT UP TO THE CHAIR AND TOOK A BIG BITE. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTO, HE WASN’T TOO HAPPY WITH MY TRICK. I AM HOPING THIS COOKBOOK WILL HELP.

The Food Network

I came home from work the other night and the house smelled like someone had been cooking. How could that be, I was at work? Beau had watched The Food Network channel at the Gym and learned how to cook up a chicken breast so he tried it at home. Beau even made me breakfast in bed the other day. I am very impressed with his presentation skills. Take a look. I love the zig zag effect of the ketchup. We are starting with basic meals but hope to improve from here.
I made him lunch and here are the results…Thanks Food Network for your inspiration in our home!
