My Grandma Fan passed away many years ago and she had fabulous taste. She and my Grandpa had this amazing sofa. My cute Grandpa passed it on to me and we had it reupholstered recently. Take a look at the results. I love how it turned out. I think my Grandma Fan would love it too.

I just ordered this light! I can’t wait to see it installed!
When I was a little girl I used to get my chalkboard down and draw out my room and I would go over various ways that I wanted to change the furnishings around. I changed my room around probably about once a quarter or more. I used to go to the Fashion Place Mall and get marketing materials out of the garbage dumpsters and bring them home to decorate my bedroom. In High School I spent my paychecks on furniture first and then clothes. I have always loved Interior Decorating, it is in my blood. Finishing my basement and planning it all out has been so fun for me!
The past month I have spent collecting bids from contractors and now we are officially starting the finishing! We ripped down all of the butcher paper off the walls and so far we now have our plumbing, HVAC, and our new fireplace was installed yesterday! Saturday our electrical will be complete and then it will be time for the fun stuff! Sheetrock, painting, finish carpentry, & carpet! I will give you a sneak peek of some of the products we have chosen!

I had the crazy idea of butcher papering our basement to give it a more finished look until we can afford to do the real thing. Here is how it turned out! I know, OCD but I think it looks so much better than looking at our ugly insullation.
