Easter was very eventful this year. We had Easter Egg Hunts at Grandma Debi’s and Grandma Pam’s.  The Easter Bunny even stopped by our house too! Beau told the boys that the Easter Bunny might come sniff them while they were sleeping and this scared Sawyer so he didn’t want to go to bed.  We woke up to a trail of  “Bunny Poo” (Raisinets) that lead the boys down the stairs to their Easter Baskets.

The boys got a new pet in their Easter Baskets. They opened up this box and found 6 small caterpillars that we will watch go through their Metamorphis’s. They have already doubled in size in the past 2 weeks!img_7396

Easter 2009

Here are a few pictures from Easter that Lacey Jane took! We had such a fun Holiday filled with Easter Egg Hunts at both Grandma’s and lots of yummy food! Our kids got spoiled & Saylor got to meet her Grandma Elly for the first time!

Happy ST Patricks Day!

We woke up this morning and came out to have breakfast and there was a paper clover on our fridge. Sawyer noticed it and said “what is that green thing Mommy” ? I asked Sawyer if he put it there and he said no and I said neither did I. Sawyer then said ” I think it was a Leprechaun”. We read the clover and it was a clue that said “Go look on the front porch” we went out  and found another clue. After about 5 clues that lead us around the house we came to our final clue that said “Go downstairs and follow the Gold”. The boys ran down  and we found a trail of gold coins that we followed. Some were chocolate coins and others were just gold plastic coins. Cavin proceded to pick up every chocolate coin and leave behind every plastic coin. The gold coin trail lead us to the basement door that went outside. We looked out and saw more green coins on the grass. We followed them to the back side of the house and into Sawyer’s playhouse. Inside the play house we found a pot of gold that had golden eggs, coins and green necklaces.  A Leprechaun had made a visit that just made my boys day! We went back into eat breakfast and our milk was green.  Those mischevious little Leprechauns!pot-of-gold

Christmas Highlights

We woke up to a wintery white Christmas outside! It was so beautiful. Cavin woke us up at 5:30 Christmas morning and said “Santa came, Santa came!” as he jumped up and down. Luckily we were able to get him to go back to sleep till around 8:00am!

Sawyer got a Disneyland Castle for Christmas. It was so fun to see his sweet little face light up when he saw it!

Courtney got a a sweet little doll that really cries and pees and doesn’t even take batteries!saystock2saystock

This is the cutest poem for Mother’s Day!

If I were granted any wish,
I’ll tell you what I’d do,…
I’d wish my kids were small again,
for just a month or two.

To hear their squeals of laughter,
to watch them while they play.
And when they ask me to join in,
I’d NOT say “Not today.”

To hug again their chubby frame,
to kiss away their tears,
and cherish childhood innocence’s
that’s washed away the years.

Then when it’s story time again,
I’d stay a little longer,
to answer questions, sing the songs,
so memories would be stronger.

But time is callous, wishes, myth,
yet God in all his wisdom,
has given me another chance
before I join his kingdom.

The face may not be just the same,
the name is changed, ’tis true,
but yet the smile that radiates,
reminds me so of you.

God must have known that Grandma
would need a chance or two.
For many little happy things
she hadn’t time to do.
So God gave love to Grandmas
to equal that before,
that, in effect embraces
those little lives she bore.
